A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from mates or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be redirected to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you have a hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all feature for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section includes quite a lot of functions, but it is incredibly simple to use, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes only a mouse click. All the email addresses that you have will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you will just have to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the specific address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select another mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes yet another mouse click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be enabled without difficulty if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be enumerated in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will find a mini sign conveniently situated directly next to each one. With just one single click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this option using the contextual menu that will pop up. If any of the prerequisites for creating a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will let you know, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
