Dot NAME Domain Names

Launched in 2001, the .NAME top-level extension is the single TLD planned for personal web pages only. These domain names can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are famous by. At the beginning, just 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to obtain john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already taken third-level domain names remained online.

Through our firm, you can get your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to alter the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization key from the present domain registrar and we will renew it after the transfer has been completed. There are no particular requirements on who can book a dot NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the objective behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.
